We love coming to SoulJoel's! We started coming in 2021 in Royersford and now we enjoy making overnight trips to Pottstown. Joel always goes above and beyond and makes you feel welcome like we're family. Best shows at really great prices — never had a bad experience!
Went to see comedian Jonny Loquasto. Small room, cozy and made for an intimate venue. All three comedians were funny and made for a great night out. We ate at Gatsby's before the show — food and drinks were also great. Highly recommend!

Located inside the historic SunnyBrook Ballroom in Pottstown, PA, SoulJoel’s hosts world-class stand-up comedy shows featuring comedians who have appeared on The Tonight Show, Comedy Central, HBO, Showtime, Last Comic Standing, MTV, and SiriusXM Radio. More than just a comedy club — it’s a full night out with a bar, restaurant, and an atmosphere unlike anything else in the region.
Joel Richardson is the founder of Soul Joel Productions, the largest independent comedy production company on the East Coast. He left his day job in 2009, cashed out his 401K, and spent 13 years producing 200+ shows per year across 21 states before opening SoulJoel’s in 2019. Today he runs SoulJoel’s at The SunnyBrook Ballroom — a venue he personally transformed into one of Pennsylvania’s most beloved entertainment destinations.
SoulJoel’s is best known for stand-up comedy headliners, but the venue also hosts a wide variety of events including live music, bingo nights, psychic mediums, drag brunches, dance nights, jazz bands, and community events.
